Benefits of Membership
SIGMA recognizes the need for a multidisciplinary group of professionals working together for the many special and diverse interests of women's health leading up to, during, and after the menopause transition. We welcome not only gynaecologists and family doctors, but also physicians devoted to women's health in a wider context, such as endocrinologists, rheumatologists, internal medicine, cardiologists, neurologists, geriatricians, breast health specialists, and others interested in mature women's health issues. We also welcome nurses and allied healthcare professionals. The SIGMA network will support information, knowledge translation, state-of-the-art medical care, education, and research oriented to menopause and aging. We have established relationships with partners involved in women's issues, including Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC), North American Menopause Society (NAMS), and International Menopause Society (IMS). Initial dues for joining SIGMA are $50, which will cover the period from registration to January 2010. Your contribution will serve to establish the network and initiate the activities of SIGMA. Please print our SIGMA Membership Registration Form and return by mail or fax with your payment.
