Welcome to SIGMA Canadian Menopause Society
We are an independent, multidisciplinary group of family physicians and specialists interested in menopausal and postmenopausal health. Our mission is to advance the health of women at and beyond the menopausal transition. We will achieve our goal through a multidisciplinary network of Canadian healthcare professionals dedicated to the care of perimenopausal, menopausal, and aging women. Our network will support research, education, knowledge translation, and public education in the interests of this group of women. SIGMA Honoured! SIGMA will be honoured at the upcoming Annual Clinical Meeting of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada, June 2–6, 2010, in Montréal, Québec, for its poster presentation, "Familiarity among Canadian Physicians with the WHI Study and with Evidence-based Guidelines for Managing Menopause Symptoms," judged Best of Four in its category. First authors are Dr. Marla Shapiro and Dr. Christine M. Derzko.
